Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Service — Jan. 17: The Archdiocese of Louisville invites the faithful and community partners to come together for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. prayer service, a faith-filled gathering rooted in peace, justice, and the inherent dignity of every human person.

The theme of this prayer service is “Peace and Justice.” The Rev. William Bowling, pastor of Saint Martin de Porres and Holy Name Parishes, will preside, with Steve Kniffley directing the Archdiocesan African American Gospel Choir.

Corporate Voice: In approximately one month, the New START Treaty — the last guardrail preventing an all out nuclear arms race between the U.S. and Russia — is set to expire. In keeping with Pope Leo XIV World Day of Peace message and the SCN Corporate Stand opposing nuclear weapons, U.S. citizens are invited to send a message to Congress urging them to extend the START Treaty. Getting to Know OMA: The Office of Mission Advancement will host a Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 12:30 p.m. in the Banner Room at Crimmins Hall. Lunch will be provided. Employees, Sisters, and Associates are invited. This session will offer an overview of the Office of Mission Advancement and its work, including fundraising, communications promoting the mission, and opportunities for volunteers to partner with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Attendees will learn how the office supports the Congregation in these and other ways. The presentation will be broadcast live on channel 18.2 at Nazareth, and a recording will be shared later.
