Nazareth Home is celebrating 50 years of ministry and service, honoring a mission that began with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in 1976: to care for each person with dignity, compassion, respect and love.
Sister Jackulin Jesu, SCN, president of the Congregation, offered congratulations on behalf of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. In her remarks, she recognized the caregivers, staff, board members, volunteers and supporters who have helped carry that mission forward.
Over five decades, Nazareth Home has become a community where residents and families receive care, companionship and support through life’s joys and challenges.
“For 50 years, Nazareth Home has lived that call by creating a community marked by warmth, care and a deep sense of belonging,” Sister Jacky said.
Rooted in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, Nazareth Home’s ministry reflects the call to recognize Christ in others, especially those who need care and companionship. Sister Jacky noted that this Catholic tradition continues through the daily work of those who serve its residents and families.

“In this way, Nazareth Home continues to live out the Gospel message that all are welcome and each person is cared for and valued,” Sister Jackulin said.
Sister Barbara Flores offered a prayer of blessing, giving thanks for the caregivers, nurses, doctors, administrators and staff members who have served Nazareth Home throughout its history. She recognized the care expressed through a gentle touch, a listening ear and a comforting presence.
“Thank you for seeing the sacred in every resident and for treating them like family,” Sister Barbara prayed.
Her blessing also looked to the future, asking God to grant wisdom and vision to Nazareth Home’s leadership and to renew the strength of its staff each day with patience, joy and fulfillment in their work.
“May every resident who crosses this threshold feel safe, deeply valued, and completely loved,” she prayed.
Together, the remarks and blessing expressed gratitude for those who built and sustained Nazareth Home’s ministry, along with hope for those who will carry it forward.
“May this ministry continue to witness compassion, peace and unconditional love,” Sister Barbara prayed.
Sister Jacky offered her congratulations with a blessing for the years ahead: “Congratulations on 50 wonderful years and blessings for the next 50 years!”
